푸켓 라차섬 스쿠버다이빙 후기! 형님과 함께한 잊지 못할 바닷속 여행

지난번 가족들과 함께 태국 푸켓으로 여행을 다녀왔습니다. 이번 여행은 처형네 가족과 함께한 여행이라 더욱 즐거웠는데요.

이날은 와이프와 처형, 조카가 마사지와 휴식을 즐기는 동안 저와 형님은 특별한 추억을 만들기 위해 라차섬 스쿠버다이빙을 했습니다.

지금 생각해도 푸켓 여행 중 가장 기억에 남는 순간이 아닐까 싶습니다.

Recently, I traveled to Phuket, Thailand, with my family. This trip was even more enjoyable because we traveled together with my sister-in-law’s family.

On this particular day, while my wife, sister-in-law, and nephew were enjoying massages and relaxing, my brother-in-law and I decided to create some special memories of our own by going scuba diving at Racha Island.

Even now, when I look back on our Phuket trip, I think this was one of the most unforgettable and memorable experiences of the entire journey. 🌊🤿🐠✨

 

 

 

배를 타고 이동해 도착한 라차섬.

눈앞에 펼쳐진 풍경은 정말 감탄이 절로 나왔습니다.

에메랄드빛 바다와 하얀 백사장, 그리고 거대한 석회암 절벽이 어우러진 모습은 마치 영화 속 한 장면 같았습니다.

사진으로 봐도 아름답지만 실제로 보면 색감이 훨씬 선명하고 바다가 정말 투명합니다.

After a scenic boat ride, we finally arrived at Racha Island.

The view that unfolded before us was absolutely breathtaking.

The combination of emerald-blue waters, powdery white sand beaches, and towering limestone cliffs looked like something straight out of a movie.

The island is beautiful in photographs, but seeing it in person is a completely different experience. The colors are far more vibrant, and the crystal-clear water is so transparent that it almost feels unreal. 🌊🏝️✨

 

 

 

"드디어 바닷속으로 들어가는 순간"

스쿠버 장비를 착용하고 보트에서 입수하는 순간 긴장감과 설렘이 동시에 밀려왔습니다.

예전에는 그래도 다이빙을 많이 했었는데 와이프와 여행하며 혼자만 할 수 없어서 정말 오랜만에 다이빙 이였습니다.

"The Moment I Finally Entered the Underwater World

As I put on my scuba gear and stepped off the boat into the ocean, I felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness rushing over me.

I used to go diving quite often in the past, but after getting married and traveling mostly with my wife, it became difficult to do activities that only I could enjoy on my own.

Because of that, this was my first scuba dive in a very long time, which made the experience even more special and exciting. 🤿🌊✨

 

 

본격적으로 바닷속 세상으로 들어갑니다.

푸켓 라차섬은 태국에서도 유명한 스쿠버다이빙 포인트로 손꼽히는데, 왜 유명한지 직접 들어가 보니 바로 알 수 있었습니다.

태국어로 "라차는 왕 또는 황제라는 뜻이라고 합니다. 그래서 라차섬은 흔히 '황제의 섬'이라고 불란다고 해요.

 

푸껫 남쪽 약 12km 지점에 있는 작은 섬으로, 에메랄드빛 바다와 산호초로 유명해 스노클링·다이빙 성지로 인기가 많은 곳이에요. 참고로 라차야이( 큰 라차섬)과 라차노이(작은 라차섬) 두 개의 섬으로 나뉘는데, 이번에 우리는 두군데에서 다이빙을 했습니다.

Entering the Underwater World

We finally began our journey into the underwater world.

Racha Island in Phuket is considered one of the most famous scuba diving destinations in Thailand, and as soon as I entered the water, I immediately understood why.

The word "Racha" is said to mean "King" or "Emperor" in Thai, which is why Racha Island is often referred to as the "Island of the Emperor."

Located about 12 kilometers south of Phuket, this small island is famous for its crystal-clear emerald waters and beautiful coral reefs, making it a popular paradise for both snorkeling and scuba diving enthusiasts.

Racha Island is actually divided into two islands: Racha Yai (Big Racha Island) and Racha Noi (Small Racha Island). During this trip, we had the opportunity to dive at both locations, allowing us to experience two of Phuket's most stunning underwater environments. 🤿🌊🐠✨

 

 

 

수심 아래로 내려가자 거대한 난파선이 모습을 드러냈습니다.

마치 영화 속 해적선이나 보물선 같은 분위기였습니다

As we descended deeper beneath the surface, a massive shipwreck slowly emerged before us.

It looked like something straight out of a movie, with the atmosphere of a sunken pirate ship or a long-lost treasure vessel resting on the ocean floor. ⚓🤿🌊✨

 

 

 

난파선 주변에는 다양한 열대어들이 모여 있었습니다.

수중 생태계가 잘 보존되어 있어 바닷속 전체가 하나의 거대한 수족관처럼 느껴졌습니다.

Around the shipwreck, we found a wide variety of tropical fish swimming in every direction.

The underwater ecosystem was remarkably well preserved, making the entire ocean feel like one giant natural aquarium. Surrounded by colorful marine life and crystal-clear water, it was an unforgettable experience that truly showcased the beauty of the underwater world. 🐠🌊🤿✨

 

 

이번 다이빙의 가장 특별한 점은 형님과 함께했다는 것입니다.

가족여행에서 형님과 단둘이 특별한 추억을 만들 기회가 흔치 않은데, 이렇게 같은 바다를 탐험하며 사진도 남기고 이야기를 나누니 더욱 의미 있는 시간이었습니다.

What made this dive even more special was the fact that I got to share the experience with my brother-in-law.

During a family vacation, it's not often that we have the opportunity to create unique memories together, just the two of us. Exploring the same underwater world, taking photos, and sharing the adventure made the experience even more meaningful.

It was a special time that allowed us to connect, create lasting memories, and enjoy an unforgettable experience together beneath the beautiful waters of Racha Island. 🤿🌊📸✨

 

 

 

 

 

 

엄청난 물고기 떼 등장
A Massive School of Fish Appears

 

다이빙 중 가장 놀라웠던 순간.

수백 마리의 물고기들이 한 방향으로 움직이는 장관이 눈앞에 펼쳐졌습니다.

마치 다큐멘터리에서 보던 장면이 실제로 제 눈앞에서 펼쳐지는 느낌이었습니다. 영상에는 그 현장감을 다 못담아 아쉽네요 ㅠ

This was the most astonishing moment of the entire dive.

Suddenly, hundreds of fish appeared before us, moving together in perfect harmony in the same direction.

It felt like a scene straight out of a nature documentary unfolding right before my eyes. Watching such a huge school of fish glide through the water was both breathtaking and mesmerizing.

Unfortunately, the video doesn't fully capture the scale and atmosphere of what we experienced underwater. It was one of those moments that felt far more incredible in person than any camera could ever show. 🐠🌊🤿✨

 

 

 

한 마리 한 마리는 평범해 보일 수 있지만 수백 마리가 함께 움직이는 모습은 정말 압도적입니다.

바닷속에서만 느낄 수 있는 웅장함이었습니다.

Although each fish may seem ordinary on its own, seeing hundreds of them moving together as one was truly overwhelming.

The sheer scale and synchronization of the school created a breathtaking spectacle that was impossible to look away from.

It was a sense of grandeur and wonder that can only be experienced beneath the ocean's surface—a moment that reminded me just how incredible the underwater world can be. 🐠🌊✨🤿

 

 

 

 

랏차섬의 또 다른 매력은 아름다운 산호초입니다.

형형색색의 산호와 작은 열대어들이 어우러진 모습은 마치 수중 정원 같았습니다.

Another one of Racha Island's greatest attractions is its stunning coral reefs.

The vibrant, colorful corals combined with countless small tropical fish created a breathtaking scene that looked just like an underwater garden.

Everywhere I looked, there were beautiful coral formations and marine life thriving together in perfect harmony, making it feel as though I had stepped into a completely different world beneath the sea. 🪸🐠🌊✨

It was one of the most peaceful and beautiful sights of the entire dive, and a reminder of just how amazing nature can be underwater. 🤿💙

 

 

 

 

 

다이빙 도중 바다뱀도 발견했습니다.

처음에는 깜짝 놀랐지만 가이드 설명으로는 독성이 있더라도 사람을 공격하는 경우는 거의 없다고 합니다.

실제로 가까이에서 보니 신기함이 더 컸습니다.

During the dive, we also spotted a sea snake.

At first, it caught me completely by surprise, but our guide explained that although sea snakes are venomous, they rarely attack humans unless they feel threatened.

Once the initial shock wore off, curiosity quickly took over. Seeing a sea snake up close in its natural habitat was a fascinating experience and became one of the most memorable moments of the dive. 🐍🌊🤿✨

It was a rare opportunity to observe marine wildlife in the wild and appreciate the incredible diversity of life beneath the ocean's surface.

The Underwater Motorcycle Photo Spot

 

 

 

수중 포토존으로 유명한 오토바이 앞에서도 기념 촬영을 했습니다.

바닷속에서 오토바이를 타고 있는 듯한 독특한 사진을 남길 수 있어 많은 다이버들이 찾는 명소라고 하네요.

We also took some memorable photos in front of the famous underwater motorcycle photo spot.

This unique attraction allows divers to capture incredible photos that make it look as if they are riding a motorcycle beneath the ocean. Because of its fun and unusual concept, it has become a popular photo location for divers visiting Racha Island.

It was definitely one of the most unique photo opportunities of the trip and a great way to create unforgettable underwater memories. 🏍️🌊🤿📸✨

This is one of my favorite photos from the entire trip.

It's a truly unique shot that could only be taken underwater, making it even more special and memorable.

Whenever I look at this photo, it instantly brings back the excitement and unforgettable moments of exploring the ocean beneath the surface. 🤿📸🌊✨

It's the kind of travel photo that tells a story all on its own and serves as a perfect reminder of an incredible experience. 💙🐠

 

 

시간이 정말 순식간에 지나갔습니다.

시간 가는줄 모르고 신나게 바닷속 풍경에 푹 빠져 다이빙을 즐기고 있었습니다.

Time seemed to fly by in the blink of an eye.

I was so immersed in the beauty of the underwater scenery that I completely lost track of time while enjoying the dive.

Surrounded by crystal-clear water, colorful coral reefs, and countless tropical fish, every moment felt exciting and unforgettable. Before I knew it, the dive was coming to an end, and I found myself wishing I could stay underwater just a little longer. 🤿🌊🐠✨

It was one of those rare experiences where you're having so much fun that time simply disappears. 💙

It turned out to be one of the most satisfying days of our family vacation because everyone was able to enjoy the activities they wanted most.

Looking back, it was a perfect day filled with beautiful scenery, exciting experiences, and meaningful family memories.
